• San Benancio Families and Community,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!  I would like to welcome back our current 7th and 8th grade families and extend a special welcome to our new families and students.  I hope that you have all had a relaxing summer and are ready to embark on a new school year.

My name is Joe Carnazzo and I am honored to be the Principal at San Benancio Middle School.  As a former student of Toro Park School, Washington Union School, and San Benancio Middle School, I understand the values that come along with a WUSD education.  I am excited to partner with parents and students to create a positive learning experience and strengthen the home-school connection.

In spite of the economic challenges that we are currently facing, San Benancio continues to be an institution that provides excellence in all areas of education.  Thank you to WUEF’s annual campaign, we are still able to fund art and music for our students in a time when many districts are having to cut these subjects due to lack of resources.  San Benancio students will have numerous opportunities to grow not only academically, but also socially.  Student’s daily interactions at school help to foster a school culture that values community.  In addition to these daily interactions, I urge students to join a club on campus or play on a school sports team.  This involvement and sense of pride also fosters a positive school culture.

Once again, I am honored to have the opportunity to serve your children as Principal of San Benancio Middle School.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school at (831) 484-1172 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

I look forward to a fun and exciting year!

    Joe Carnazzo, Principal
